Beautiful Bride and Groom's First Dance

Book a DJ or Go DIY for the Wedding Music: What Would a Smart Bride Do?

Siri, should I hire a DJ or go the DIY route for the wedding music on the BIGGEST DAY OF MY LIFE?

Exactly, it’s the Biggest Day of Your Life, right? So the last thing you should be doing is to cut corners and look for ways to save money on something as important as the wedding music.

Hey! I’m Brandon Irish and I’m a professional wedding DJ based in the Central Wisconsin. I’ve been performing at weddings almost my entire adult life.

Also, I have a big network of family and friends, so as you might imagine, I have a plenty of experience attending weddings! I’ve attended many weddings in my life and performed over 200 weddings myself.

In addition to being a professional DJ, I provide emcee services, Up lighting, photo booth and much much more. My focus has always been on providing an AMAZING wedding experience to the bride and groom and their families and friends.

As a professional wedding DJ..

…. I have an eclectic taste in music, modern, traditional, country, hip hop, EDM – you name it, I can do it. With me around, you’re going to get a Killer Dance Party at your wedding, with everyone from your Grandma to your 6-year old niece dancing to the beats!

And rightfully so… Weddings are the biggest event in a young bride’s life, but they are also about letting your hair loose and having fun. If your guests aren’t having fun at your wedding, then the entertainer isn’t doing their job, and inturn you and your guests will not have as much fun as they could’ve.

Remember…

… Your wedding reception is a party! It is not a sad or somber occasion. You want to see people dance at your wedding. Your friends from high school, your siblings, your uncles and aunts and their families, your co-workers and neighbors – you want them to enjoy the event and not get bored. That’s why we have music at every wedding.

A wedding without dance and music? That’s sacrilege! You can’t let that happen to you, not on the biggest day of your life.

That’s why you should consider booking a professional wedding DJ like me.

Sure – you want to save money on the wedding…

… Do you think you can handle the music by yourself? Yeah, I know your Cousin Tom offered to handle the DJ-ing duties, but hey, you’re going to depend on your 19-year old cousin for the dance music at your wedding? Stories start and not good stories usually with the famous well I have a friend of a friend, or my uncle will do it. Just think you have one chance to make this right, make the night memorable. Typically there are two things guests remember most about one’s special day…Food, and Entertainment… Why not hire a professional that will have your guests leaving saying “wow that was one of the best weddings I have ever been to.”

I know all about self-DJing a wedding…

….“iPod DJ,” they call it. Let me tell you that self-DJing or iPod DJ is fine if you don’t care about having a real dance party at the wedding. That’s okay too, if all you want is for there to be some music in the background, doesn’t matter if gets people dancing or not.

No energy, no fun, what’s the point, really?

Sure…

…If you’re a professional DJ yourself and/or have a very good idea of what you are looking for, and have an excellent understanding in music, go ahead, you could probably do without a wedding DJ…

…..But even in that case, shouldn’t you be focusing on the other important things at the wedding? Such as making sure that the bridesmaids have got dresses of the right sizes – the last thing you want is to have unhappy bridesmaids at the wedding! A good DJ will help coordinate day of reception, they will sit down with you. Go over your special day in great detail. As I tell my clients I want you to arrive at your reception and enjoy yourselves. I don’t want my clients worrying about what is next, or where is the photographer. As a master of ceremonies that is my job to make sure everything is running smoothly and on time. Basically I want my clients to focus on all the important aspects leading up to the wedding and nothing during or at the wedding.

Leave the wedding music to the professionals!

Let me tell you why booking a DJ is a must when planning a wedding….

DJs make the dance party really happen!

Yeah, a DJ is the real deal, he or she does things that an iPod could never do in a hundred years. We are very good at reading the mood of the crowd, which an iPod could never do.

Sure, the iPod would have a large selection of music, the same as we do. But does your iPod really have the “smartness” to adjust the music to the mood the crowd?

No, it can’t, it’s only a machine after all.

It’s my job as a DJ to read the crowd, get a sense of what they are reacting to and what can move them and get them to dance. Once I get your guests moving to the beat, I start switching gears, and that’s when things start happening.

Also, as a professional DJ I’m very good at troubleshooting technical problems.

So if your audio system suddenly stops functioning, or if you don’t know how to adjust the volume levels for the microphones and speakers for the toasts, for example, you can depend on me to get that done for you.

Could your iPod do that for you? I think not! I will be your friend, someone you can trust and rely upon, on this highly stressful day.

Yeah, I know you’re looking to cut costs on the wedding…

But really, as a smart bride you should know that booking a DJ for cheap without much experience can be a very risky mistake.

Don’t let you one special day be ruined due to inexperience but instead hire a popular professional wedding DJ with lots of experience and great client reviews to match.

As an experienced wedding DJ, I have a much better understanding of timelines and have the technical know-how to read the dance floor and select the right music for your wedding.

Sure, I charge a higher price tag than some of the other DJs out there, but really, it’s going to be well worth it. Trust me! I know my job, and I know how to get people to dance at a wedding!

Most importantly, I make the wedding about you; it’s not about me, it’s about you and one of the BIGGEST day’s of your life.

Here’s what you can expect from me…

My job is to guide and suggest and never to dictate! My role in this is to accommodate your specific tastes in music – I add a bit of my own personality to that, but what you want is what you’ll get.

As a professional DJ, I will be bringing my own equipment to the wedding venue. I don’t rely on rented equipment, so I am very familiar with the equipment that I shall be using. So you can be sure that there won’t be any musical mishaps!

A word on my music library: I can tell you I have an impressive selection of a lot of great songs. I have all the classics, the chartbusters, and the latest hits. My music is licensed and appropriately censored; you don’t have to worry about anyone getting upset at the wedding because of the music!

I’m a professional DJ, so I have sufficient professional liability insurance coverage. This is important as there is no way to tell what might happen at a wedding. When you book an insured DJ like me, you will be spared of any unnecessary expense due to damaged equipment.

Also, I have excellent relationships with other wedding vendors such as photographers and wedding planners. So if you need any help with finding the right vendors for your wedding, I can help you with that.

In addition to all of the above, I provide photo booths, up-lighting, dance floor lighting packages, emceeing services and much more.

I am a professional wedding DJ - I love what I do for a living, I love weddings, and I love making people happy and dance to my music. I am totally dedicated to my craft. If you would like to book me for your wedding, just fill up this contact form so that I can get back to you ASAP!
